Submission Guidelines:
To ensure a smooth and efficient review process, we kindly request all interested participants to adhere to the following guidelines when preparing and submitting their abstracts:

Abstract Formatting: Abstracts should be formatted as a single paragraph and limited to 250-300 words. Use clear and concise language to describe the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of your research or study. The author must strictly adhere to the abstract template [Download abstract template] for abstract format and submit the Word file (.doc) only.
Provide a clear and informative title that accurately reflects the content of your abstract.

Authors and Affiliations: Include the names of all authors and their respective affiliations below the title. Use superscript numbers to indicate different affiliations if necessary. Provide email addresses for corresponding authors.

Content: Clearly state the purpose or objective of your study, followed by a brief description of the methods or approach used. Present key findings or results, and provide a concise summary of the conclusions drawn from your research.

Language: All abstracts must be submitted in English, which will be the official language of the conference. Ensure that the language used is clear, grammatically correct, and free of typographical errors.

Originality: Abstracts should present original research, innovations, or significant findings related to translational materials research.

Poster or Oral Presentation: Authors can indicate their preference for a poster or oral presentation during the submission process. However, the final decision on the presentation format will be at the discretion of the organizing committee, considering the overall program schedule.

Notification: Authors will be notified of the acceptance status of their abstracts via email by the notification deadline. Accepted abstracts may be scheduled for oral presentations or poster sessions.

Deadline: The deadline for abstract submissions is 30th April 2024. We encourage all participants to submit their abstracts well in advance of the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical difficulties.

Awards
SMST 2024 will recognize exceptional contributions in translational materials research with the following awards:

Best Oral Presentation: This award will be presented to the presenter of the most outstanding oral presentation during the conference. The evaluation criteria will include clarity of presentation, scientific content, and audience engagement.

Best Poster Presentation: The best poster presentation will be selected based on originality, visual appeal, and the presenter's ability to articulate the research findings effectively.

To submit your abstract, please follow the steps below:
Go to the Registration >> online registration page.
Create an account or log in if you already registered.
Follow the provided instructions to complete the abstract submission form.
Review the abstract submission for accuracy and completeness before finalizing the submission.
Once submitted, the status of the abstract can be viewed on the abstract dashboard.
Note: Please ensure that you comply with the guidelines mentioned above to avoid any discrepancies during the review process. Once the abstract is submitted, changes, corrections, or re-uploading of the abstract are possible until the submission deadline. Any modifications requested after the deadline will not be accepted.
